Boopreel effects
Boop your pet's nose, in a video
Boop is a 5-second clip of the gentlest move in pet videos: a fingertip boops your pet on the nose. Attach a photo of your cat, dog or other animal in ChatGPT, ask Boopreel to boop it, and the clip plays right in the chat.
What happens in the clip
A single fingertip comes into the frame and gently boops your pet on the nose. Your pet blinks, scrunches its nose and wiggles happily, then leans in for more. The camera stays still, and the animal keeps its own fur colors and markings.
The fingertip is made by the video model as part of the effect. It isn't taken from your photo, and it doesn't change the pets-only rule: a photo with a person's face in view is still refused, and a person far from the pet is cropped out before the clip is made.
About this sample
Made on 27 October 2026 on Boopreel's own video worker, with the same model and settings as every clip: 81 frames at 16 frames a second, 5.06 seconds.
Our note on this take: the fingertip boops the nose and the kitten reacts. In one frame the mouth looks odd while the head turns.
It isn't an easy photo: the kitten is half under someone's leg in jeans, and the leg stays in the clip. The boop still lands on the nose.
Photos that work
- Boop is about the face, so pick a photo where your pet's nose and eyes are clearly visible. A close-up works well here.
- Keep people's faces out of the photo. Boopreel checks for faces, so a leg or a hand in the picture is fine, as in the sample; a face next to the pet gets the photo refused.
- Already made a clip of this pet? Ask for Boop “with the same photo”, and Boopreel reuses the earlier photo without you attaching it again.
Ask for it in ChatGPT
Attach the photo in the chat, then type one of these:
- "Use Boopreel to boop my cat's nose"
- "Boop my cat's nose in a video"
- "Now do the Boop effect with the same photo"
- Open the Boopreel listing and add it once (no account, nothing to sign in to).
- Attach a photo of your pet and ask for Boop. Naming Boopreel helps ChatGPT pick it instead of drawing a still picture.
- The clip plays in the chat in about a minute, or a few minutes when the video machine has to start first. Tap Save video to download the MP4 or share it from your phone.
Good to know
- Every clip is 5 seconds long, has no sound and carries a small "Boopreel · AI" mark, plus a tag in the file saying it was AI-generated.
- Each person can make 3 clips a day. Refused photos and failed clips don't count, and the count starts again at midnight in your time zone.
- Boopreel works in ChatGPT in the US and Canada.
- Animals only: a photo with a person's face in view is refused, and a person far from the pet is cropped out.
- Photos can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC. Photos and clips are deleted after 30 days, or at once when you ask ChatGPT to delete your Boopreel clips.
- Boop came out on October 5. The next new effect arrives on November 9.
Questions
Whose finger is in the clip?
Nobody's: the video model draws it as part of the effect. Your photo only needs your pet.
Does Boop work on dogs?
Yes, on any animal with a nose in view: dogs, cats, rabbits and others.
